Privacy Policy
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how FuelStory processes information when you use our website, web app, or mobile app.
2. No account required for basic use
You can view the map and submit basic station status reports without registration. For these actions we do not ask for your name, phone number, payment details, or documents.
3. Information we process
We may process technical data such as device type, browser or app version, language, approximate region, IP address, and event logs. The mobile app generates a device identifier on installation so we can count reports, keep an action history, reduce duplicate reports, and protect the service from abuse.
4. Location, city, and map data
If you allow location access, FuelStory uses your location to show nearby stations, move the map to your area, calculate distance, and support location-based features. If you deny location access, you can choose a country and city instead. You can change location permission in your device settings.
5. Driver reports and station updates
When you confirm or report a station situation, we may store the station, selected status, fuel products, queue details, limits, timestamp, device identifier, IP address, and related technical metadata. These reports are used as weighted signals together with source data and other driver reports.
6. Photos, station suggestions, and account data
If you add a missing station, report a station situation, or attach photos, we may process the photos, station details, fuel report details, geolocation, device identifier, upload metadata, and moderation history. Photos are optional, may include multiple images, are stored as evidence, and may be reviewed by administrators to verify reports, approve station suggestions, improve data accuracy, and prevent abuse. Approved photos or confirmations based on them may be used in the service to confirm station data. We do not use uploaded photos for advertising or tracking. If you sign in by email OTP, we process your email address and authentication data.
7. Local storage, favorites, and push preferences
The website and mobile app may use local storage to remember language, selected city, favorites, onboarding state, push notification preference, notification radius, and other settings. Favorites are stored on your device. The mobile app uses your notification choice, radius, and location or selected city to send alerts when a station with fuel appears nearby.
8. Cookies, analytics, and service providers
FuelStory may use cookies, analytics tools, hosting providers, map providers, geocoding services, open data sources, and data partners. Route buttons may open external map or navigation apps such as Google Maps, Yandex Navigator, or Yandex Maps. We do not sell personal data.
9. Storage and security
We keep data only as long as reasonably needed for the service, reliability, moderation, analytics, security, or legal requirements. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information.
10. Your choices
You can deny location access, choose a city manually, disable notifications, clear local storage or cookies, remove favorites on your device, and contact us about privacy questions or data requests.
